Description: A medieval castle situated in a glorious spot on the Tweed, with displays of interest, and wall hangings depicting the life of Mary Queen of Scots. Former seat of the Fraser, Hay and Douglas families.

How to get there: By car: One mile west of the town of Peebles on the A72 road. By public transport: A shortish walk through the Hay Lodge Park will take you there, or along the pavement on the A72.
Seasonal opening details (2005): 1st May to 30th Sept - Wed to Sunday (Closed Mon & Tues except for Bank Holidays)
Opening Hours: Wednesday to Saturday 10.30am to 5pm, Sunday 12.30pm to 5pm.
Facilities:
Admission: 2005 Adult £3, Child £1, OAP £2.50, Concessions £2.50, Family £7.50. Will open for groups of 20+ by arrangement, out of season, and is available for civil weddings and receptions.
